JUSTICE : -

What is Justice ? Can anybody ever get Justice ? Anyone who has been aggrieved due to loss of property, loved one or any intangible thing like honor wants justice done to the party which caused this damage. The property may come back but the loved one or honor may not. This may happen after an inordinate delay which makes a mockery of the so called justice.

Is Justice a kind of civilized revenge ? All cruel dictators over the ages have murdered countless persons in the name of religion or ideology. Till they were in power the behavior was justified. Many of them lost power and were hanged for perpetrating the kind of things they committed. What if they had not lost power?

The worst atrocity ever committed by human beings is surely the second Nuclear bomb dropped on Japan. If by stroke of luck Japan would have won the war even after receiving this nuclear attack Harry Truman would have hanged for killing civilians in their thousands for no direct fault of their own.

Do we take the names of Hitler, Stalin, Mao Tsetung, Pol Pot, Saddam Hussein without taking the name of Harry Truman ? Yes. This is because he won the war.

Justice is a false concept. Nobody ever receives justice. People may receive money, mental satisfaction or anything else but never Justice. The behavior which is thought as “just” is just not there because this idea is ever changing.

Human beings have erected great structures of “Laws” suitable to their government. Every single government in the history of Humanity has tried to suit laws to its existence and never other way round. Laws which were sacrosanct a few days back have vanished with a new government. New laws have taken their place.
