POSTURE

POSTURE : -

The forces of life and death form a couple which turns the wheel of Sansara. The force of death is physically exemplified by the force of gravity. The force of life works against the force of death but these forces are not antagonistic but complimentary. The force of life always strives to get away from gravity as is shown in evolution. The reptiles which do not or cannot lift their body off the ground gradually lift themselves become four legged animals which run and climb, to two legged animals who have the audacity to stand and defy gravity. All trees grow against gravity. In fact every life form tries to grow against gravity. Whatever grows is called Brahma. Whatever disintegrates and gets mixed with earth is called death. The forces of death do not like this. They constantly try to pull the two legged animal down by force of gravity. The animal tries to brace himself or herself against this pull which results in a posture. Posture also signifies the status of our ego. The body adapts itself in two ways. If the body goes along with gravity it is called negative adaptation which results in disease and degeneration. If the body is aware enough it works to resist this tendency which results in positive adaptation which gives a good posture and pleasant sensation in the body. There is no posture in space travel because the force of gravity is neutralised by the spacecraft rotating round the earth. Hence there is no degeneration in space. However the gravity helps to retain our strength and calcium content and its absence makes the muscles and bones weak very rapidly. Ego damages the posture and enhances death.
